Well, English grammar expects you to write a “a well-typed program” and “a simply-typed program”, as well as “a blue-eyed girl”, doesn’t it? Of course, in “this program is well typed” I would expect no hyphen. Did I get your point, or do you disagree with my interpretation of English grammar?
